begin at 12:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 p.m.

historic downtown Milford. Specifically, on
Main Street - which is also U.S. RT. 50. Main

-
WHO: This
event is being organized by the Old Milford
Merchants Association
-
WHAT IS A BUSKER?
-
You have most likely seen and
been entertained by a busker before and don't even
know it! Buskers are street performers who
earn money by generating tips. The term "busker"
includes: clowns, living statues, mimes, magicians,
sidewalk artists, dancers, and much more! Although
Buskers are very popular in Europe and other
countries, they can be found almost everywhere in
America too. Perhaps you've seen and enjoyed the
magicians and occassional juggler performing at
Findlay Market on Saturdays. Our event will feature
all types of Buskers.
-
WHAT ELSE WILL THIS EVENT ENTAIL?
-
The festival will also
feature an Artisan show. These artists will
be demonstrating their specific form of art and will
also in some cases, offer their items for sale. Some
examples of artisans who will be at the event are:
local potters demonstrating how to throw a pot,
weavers demonstrating how to make wool, painters,
and so forth.
-
We ask that you mention our event in
your upcoming issue (or the date appropriate issue) as this
will be the first ever BUSKER FEST AND ARTISAN SHOW
in the area and we hope to generate as
large a crowd as possible!
