Horseback Riding for
Everyone at the Lazy G Ranch
Located just north of Steubenville, Ohio,

Lazy G Ranch is a family oriented Horseback riding stable that is open to
the public from 9 a.m. until 2 hours before dark -- rain or shine, 7 days a week, 12
months a year.
We are located on a township road, near Knoxville, Ohio. It's just a
short drive from several major cities. See the maps below for directions. |
Our horses
are real beauties, well trained and of various breeds. We have one especially for you
whether you are just learning or already an advanced rider.
Reservations
Many of our riders travel an hour or more, therefore we observe reservations -- but will
take walk-ins if space is available. The sunset rides are scheduled as the last ride of
the day, but we will try to accommodate you at other times, schedule and reservations
permitting.
Special Events
Parties and picnics are available by special arrangement and include visiting the horses,
use of the grounds, tables, grill, free petting zoo, and trailriding or pony rides in the
ring.
Full Board
We do all the work so you can enjoy your horse to the fullest. Includes: stall, grain,
hay, turn out, and mucking out, all for only $150.00 /month.

Escorted Trailrides
We offer 3 escorted trailrides for individuals or groups of up to 6 riders. On these rides
you will walk, trot, and canter if everyone on the ride is capable and agreeable. All
three rides are on schedule with reservations. Our summer schedule is 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2
p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Top of the Hill
Cowpoke (Walk Only) $15/person
Git' Long Little Doggie (Walk & Trot) $20/person
We take kids from 4 to 84 on a peaceful horseback ride. You'll ride on country roads,
through open fields, and on a pleasant wooded trail. It is an enchanting experience that
one can enjoy again and again with the changing seasons.
- Dungeon Hollow Sunset Ride
$25/person
This ride is an 8-mile intermediate trail that is not recommended for children under 10
years of age. You'll ride up and down hills, through a beautiful deep wooded valley
alongside a stream that you will cross 13 times. Many of our guests that are experienced
trailriders say that Dungeon Hollow is the best trailride they have ever ridden.
- Hardy Iron Butt
$35/person
This is a two hour combination of the above two rides that is restricted to adults and
children over 10 years of age and 100 lbs.
We will not
stand any abuse of the horse,
intentional or otherwise!
